Description
Why get a Sweeps Ring?
LockTop dampers are “glued” to the clay/ceramic liner using a silicone adhesive… to remove the damper for cleaning, the seal needs to be cut. Following cleaning, the damper needs to be re-installed with new adhesive.
By installing a sweeps ring… ONLY the sweeps ring is adhered to the liner and the LockTop bolted onto the sweeps ring.
Now removal of the LockTop is with 4 bolts rather than cutting silicone. Save yourself time, material, and the experience of trying to cut silicone while 20-50 feet in the air!
